Winter Term 2001

The Life We Live

It's well into the term and only now have I been able to manage this page - sincere apologies!! Welcome back for the second half of term.

Each week, a reading will be posted in advance on these pages, together with some questions for you to think about. It will help very much if you can find time to read the passage before the session, as a short hour is little time to solve all the world's problems! It is heartening for us that so many of you go away each week and continue thinking about the topics we cover together. Please feel free to e-mail us with any later thoughts you have - all contributions will be posted and this page will cross reference the previous topics.

If you wish to refer to any of last summer's readings, you can find them by clicking HERE. Last term's are HERE.

The readings for the first few weeks of term will be posted below shortly, so you can refer back to them. Please follow the live link to this week's readings. Because we missed the Tuesday at parents' weekend, we will do the topics on Thursday and then the same topic again on the following Tuesday.

WEEK 1    -     Introduction

WEEK 2    -     The rise of feminism has led to the decline of the GENTLEMAN! Discuss.

WEEK 3    -    The James Bulger case

WEEK 4    -    Animals and Humans

WEEK 5    -    The love of God

WEEK 6    -    Are You a Pacifist?

WEEK 7    -    What would you do?

See you on Thursday or Tuesday!
