This page, from the Sickness Unto Death, is from the Amazon.com site, where the book can be bought. It reveals well how (deliberately) obscure Kierkegaard can be. Yet this is actually a very important passage - every word is carefully chosen and means something. Note especially the passage, 'Looked at in this way, a human being is not yet a self'. In a quasi-scientific passage on what, exactly, self is, Kierkegaard reminds us that it isn't anything - it is becoming something.
