I saw common castors in Kolkata, in my grandfather's cemetery, where they hugged the shade. They were very nervous and difficult to photograph and I only got very poor shots. In 2012 I saw them again in several places in Mumbai and was able to get a slightly better record of them. The first picture shows a very typical attitude, spread flat on a leaf in half shade, ready to zoom off again at the slightest disturbance.
