I
first noticed this butterfly in Mysore. It flew up from taking minerals
and flashed a distinctly brilliant, but very deep, shade of blue that I
had not seen on any other Indian blues. It was rich and deep, like an
Adonis blue, but darker. That butterfly never settled within reach but
later, also in Mysore, I was able to get a photograph of the underside.
